Salvation Assurance

Mission
We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God. We also believe in the virgin birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ and in the sufficiency of Christ's finished work at Calvary for the atoning of sin. The Bible tells us that there is a literal Heaven AND a literal Hell, and that man has a choice of where he will spend eternity. We believe in water baptism as an outward expression of an inward change, and the inward change of Christ living in us, is what eternally secures the "true believer". Our mission is to encourage the church and evangelize the lost through gospel music and the message of Christ and in Him crucified.

         Roy Edwards Ministries

Roy accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the early age of seven at Foy Lane Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, and is thrilled to see what God has done in his life since that day. Born in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and being raised in Houston, has well developed his love for Southern Gospel music. Roy began singing when he was thirteen at the church where his dad pastored outside of Houston, Texas. (Yes, Roy is a preacher's kid.)

Roy recorded his first album when he was sixteen and later sang with a few local quartets that traveled throughout the Gulf Coast region. Roy is also a 1984 graduate of The Blackwood Brothers School of Christian Music when it was located in Murray, Kentucky. It has been Roy's dream from a young boy hearing quartets such as The Florida Boys, Blackwood Brothers, Gold City, The Hinsons, and The Cathedrals, to sing and travel bringing the saving message of Christ.

Roy's Home Church

Roy is a member of First Baptist Church of Springdale, Arkansas, where he is pastored by Dr. Ronnie Floyd. When Roy is not away ministering, he is an active part of the choir and occasionally participates with the Praise Team on Sundays. The church is very involved with local and global missions. This area of service too, Roy has and does participate in with a passion and calling for spreading the Gospel of Christ.

"I have been very blessed to have been a part of two Mission Journeys. My first, August of 2006, was to Malawi, Africa where our team of seven witnessed and ministered to hundreds. By the end of our 11 day journey, over 1,200 people had prayed to receive Christ as their personal Savior and six churches were planted as a result. In June 2006, I had the opportunity to travel to Curitiba, Brazil where our team of 13 ministered in a newly developed suburb of that city and saw over 50 people pray to receive Christ and a new church started in the same community. This is what we are commissioned to do . . . spread the Gospel. If it's across the street or across the world. People need to hear. How will they hear unless we tell them. How can we tell them unless we go."
